Introduction
Welcome to the OpenTeleRehab Mobile Application User Manual.
This manual provides comprehensive guidance on how to use the OpenTeleRehab mobile application for both Patients and Healthcare Workers. The application is designed to support remote rehabilitation services by enabling secure communication, treatment management, appointment scheduling, patient monitoring, and access to rehabilitation resources.
The system allows:
Patients to access their treatment plans, complete exercises, submit feedback, schedule and respond to appointments, communicate with healthcare workers, and monitor their progress.
Healthcare Workers to manage patients, schedule and respond to appointments, conduct interviews, refer or transfer patients, and communicate through messaging and calls.
The application supports secure login with PIN authentication, phone number verification (for patients), role-based access control, offline functionality, and real-time synchronization when an internet connection becomes available.

1. Registration
The registration page allows patients and healthcare workers to access the OpenTeleRehab mobile app for the first time using their registered phone number or email address.
Roles: Patient, Healthcare Worker
Patient: Can register using the phone number that the therapist or healthcare worker used to create the patient account.
Healthcare Worker: Can register using the email address that the PHC Service Admin used to create the healthcare worker account.
Steps
Open the OpenTeleRehab mobile app.
Click register as Patient if you are a patient; click register as Healthcare Worker if you are a healthcare worker.
(Optional) Select a language from the Language Selector.
Enter your phone number (Patient) or email address (Healthcare Worker).
Click Login.
2. Phone Number Verification
The Phone Number Verification Page allows patients to confirm their account by entering a one-time verification code sent via SMS.
Roles: Patient
Steps
Enter the 6-digit verification code sent to your phone.
(Optional) Click Resend Code if the code was not received.
Click Confirm.
3. Terms of Services Consent
The Terms of Services Consent Page requires users to agree to the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy before continuing to use the application.
Roles: Patient, Healthcare Worker
Steps
Review the Terms and Conditions.
Review the Privacy Policy.
Tick all required consent checkboxes.
Click Next to proceed.
4. PIN Setup
The PIN Setup Page allows users to create a secure 4-digit PIN for future logins.
Roles: Patient, Healthcare Worker
Steps
Enter a new 4-digit PIN.
Re-enter the PIN to confirm.
Click Confirm.
5. Login Page
The Login Page allows users to log in quickly using their PIN code after completing the registration process.

Steps
Open the OpenTeleRehab mobile app.
Enter your 4-digit PIN.
Click Login.
6. User Settings Menu
The User Settings Menu provides access to profile and informational pages.

6.1. User Profile Page
The User Profile Page allows users to view and update their personal information.
Roles: Patient, Healthcare Worker
Steps
Tap the user settings icon.
Select User Profile
Click Edit to update information.
Click Save.
6.1.1 Change PIN
Allows users to change their login PIN.
Roles: Patient, Healthcare Worker
Steps
Tap the user settings icon.
Select User Profile.
Click Change PIN.
Enter current PIN.
Enter new PIN.
Confirm new PIN.
Click Confirm.
6.1.2 Change Password
Allows healthcare workers to update their password.
Roles: Healthcare Worker
Password Rules
Minimum 8 characters
Uppercase, lowercase, number, special character
Cannot reuse old password
Steps
Tap the user settings icon.
Select User Profile.
Click Change Password.
Enter current password.
Enter new password.
Confirm new password.
Click Confirm.
6.1.3 Download Data
Allows patients to download their data.
Roles: Patient
Steps
Tap the user settings icon.
Select User Profile.
Click Download My Data.
6.1.4 Delete User
Allows patients to delete their accounts from the system.

Click Delete User.
Confirm the deletion.
6.2. FAQ Page
The FAQ Page displays frequently asked questions configured by the admin.

Access the web application.

Logs the user out of the application.

The Navigation Bar allows users to quickly access key features of the app.

8. Home Page
The Home Page provides a summary of daily activities and upcoming appointments.
Roles: Patient
Steps
View greeting and activity notification.
Review activity progress chart.
Review upcoming appointment.
Tap the chart to open the Activities page.
Tap the appointment card to open the Appointments page.
You can also Accept or Decline the appointment request directly from the Home Page.
9. Activities Page
The Activities List Page allows patients to view and manage their daily treatment activities.
Roles: Patient
Steps
Open the Activities tab from the navigation bar.
Swipe the calendar strip left or right to select a date.
(Optional) Tap Today to return to the current date.
(Optional) Tap Download to download the treatment plan as PDF.
Review the list of activities for the selected date.
Tap an activity card to view details.
Swipe through images or videos.
Review instructions and recommended sets/reps.
(Optional) Tap Text-to-Speech to hear instructions.
Tap Complete to finish the activity.
Set pain level using the slider (0–10), if required.
Enter completed sets and reps, if required.
Click Submit to save feedback.
10. Appointment Page
The Appointment Page displays upcoming appointments.
Roles: Patient, Healthcare Worker
Steps
Open the Appointments tab.
Review appointment cards.
10.1. Appointment Requests
The Appointment Request feature allows users to schedule appointments.

Steps for Patient
Open the Appointments tab.
Tap Request New Appointment.
Select participant, date, and time.
Submit the request.

Open the Appointments tab.
Tap +.
Select participant, date, and time.
Submit the request.
10.2. Accept / Decline Appointments
Users can respond to appointment requests.
Roles: Patient, Healthcare Worker

Open the Appointments tab.
Locate the requested appointment.
Click Accept or Decline the requested appointment.
Steps for Healthcare Worker
Open the Appointments tab.
Click New Requested Appointment.
Locate the requested appointment.
Click Accept or Decline the requested appointment.
10.3. Edit Appointments
Users can update the information in the appointment that they created.
Roles: Patient, Healthcare Worker
Steps
Open the Appointments tab.
Locate the created appointment.
Click Edit.
Make changes.
Click Submit.
10.4. Cancel Appointments
Users can cancel the appointment that they created.
